Lectura de cuentos para fortalecer la comprensión lectora en Educación General Básica Elemental

Resumen

La lectura de cuentos ocupa un lugar visible en la Educación General Básica Elemental, pero su presencia no garantiza por sí sola comprensión. Esta revisión de alcance examinó qué condiciones pedagógicas, familiares e institucionales convierten la lectura narrativa en una oportunidad para comprender y participar. Se siguieron las orientaciones JBI y PRISMA-ScR. El 29 de julio de 2026 se ejecutaron cuatro búsquedas en OpenAlex y Crossref; se recuperaron 800 registros, se conservaron 707 registros únicos y se evaluaron 58 candidatos priorizados. La síntesis incluyó 30 publicaciones científicas de 2020–2026 y siete documentos oficiales ecuatorianos. La evidencia mostró que los resultados favorables se concentran cuando la lectura incorpora preguntas abiertas, predicción, reconstrucción causal, conversación sostenida, relectura y retroalimentación. La exposición pasiva o el tiempo de lectura sin mediación no presentó una relación consistente con la comprensión. La participación del alumnado y de las familias puede ampliar el aprendizaje, aunque exige apoyos que eviten trasladar a los hogares responsabilidades que corresponden a la institución. El currículo ecuatoriano ofrece una base compatible, pero requiere acuerdos escolares sobre selección de textos, tiempo protegido, inclusión lingüística, seguimiento formativo y acceso equitativo. Se propone una matriz de gobernanza pedagógica que vincula decisiones, responsabilidades e indicadores verificables.
